The Radar in CSGO compared to CS 1.6 is much more important now it’s actually one of the most important tools to know what’s happening on the map. You can see the enemies, your mates have spotted, and where the bomb-carrier is or if it’s dropped. The default settings are very bad, because it’s focused on a small section. So here are some config tweaks you should use to see the whole map.
If you don’t want to read the whole article, just paste this into your autoexec.cfg:

With the default settings you’re wasting a lot space on your radar. You can see a lot more on the map when your player icon isn’t the center on your radar.
Now we’re able to see the whole map at once. You can set this value from 0.25 to 1. Depending on your screen size you should check which value is right for you. “0.3” should work for most people.
Since the update from 02.05.2014 you’re able to choose the size of your radar in the HUD. Values from 0.3 to 1.3 are allowed. This setting is not so important, you have to try which size is perfect for you and doesn’t take so much space on your screen.
When you don’t want your radar to rotate with your movement turn this to” 0”. It’s recommended to let on default cause it’s much more easier to orientate.
BUT WAIT I DON’T KNOW HOW TO ENABLE THE CONSOLE OR WHERE THE AUTOEXEC.CFG FILE IS?
You can enable the console in your settings. The autoexec.cfg file is in your …\Steam\SteamApps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\csgo\cfg folder!
